JUCCCE has developed a class to help children identify and understand sugar in drinks as part of "A New Way to Eat". Here fourth graders in Shanghai make their own alternative drinks with fresh fruits. The kids had great fun guessing how many cubes of sugar were in each drink. They loved when we counted out the number of sugar cubes into their hands and made disgusted noises when we showed the consequences of too much sugar. This class will be rolled out to all food technology classes in our target school, and incorporated into the larger "A New Way to Eat" curriculum that JUCCCE is developing with many partners.

Note: "A New to Eat" is now a part of our Food Heroes curriculum.
