JUCCCE Chairperson appointed to World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council
Peggy Liu, Chairperson of JUCCCE, has been appointed to a council of the World Economic Forum.
Liu has been appointed a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on New Energy Architecture 2011. According to the letter of invitation from Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Liu was invited to serve on the council because of her “thought leadership in this field.”
Liu will serve on this Global Agenda Council along with 15 to 20 experts. Each Council serves as an informal advisory group to the World Economic Forum and to the international community. Liu was also named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader in 2009.
"The Councils represent the world’s foremost interdisciplinary brains trust of innovative thinking and idea exchange on global issues. They unite the world’s most relevant experts, including business and government leaders, in an ongoing, comprehensive and co-creative process to monitor and address global, regional and industry challenges."
This serves as both recognition for her work with JUCCCE and also provides a glimpse into what the future may present for the organization and growing global impact on bettering the environment.
