Seumas Graham of The Economist visits JUCCCE
On June 19, JUCCCE invited Seumas Graham of The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) to speak to our interns and staff. As a part of The Economist Group, which is responsible for one of the world’s leading financial magazines, The Economist Intelligence Unit is a group of researchers and analysts providing consulting services both internally to the magazine and to external clients.
As a business development expert, Seumas shared the experiences which have led him to his current position as Commercial Director of the EIU in North Asia. For many of the interns, following his career journey heightened the possibility of working in North Asia in the future. Seumas and Peggy led an open discussion which spanned topics such as big data, the firewall between the editorial and commercial functions of The Economist and the challenges of research.
