JUCCCE featured in The Economist
Our organisation was featured in an article in The Clean Development Mechanism in The Economist on November 29th 2007: How to make a clever deal cleverer is a discussion on new ways to make the Kyoto bargain work.
“One specific idea comes from the Joint US-China Co-operation on Clean Energy, a non-profit group. It plans to distribute 10m free compact fluorescent lamps to homes in China. This could save about 3.5 tonnes of carbon-dioxide emissions over four years. This is one of three projects being studied as a model for a future approach to the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), part of the Kyoto protocol.”
