The Global Friends is a group of Chinese and American philanthropists leading the effort to address climate change.
The Global Friends Prizes are three annual awards totalling US$1.5 million that are awarded to organizations in Greater China and the United States whose ideas have prompted wide scale individual reductions in carbon emissions. Founder Ivan Tse called on JUCCCE Chairperson Peggy Liu to attract philanthropists, lead roundtables in Hong Kong and Beijing and introduce the Food Heroes food education program.
JUCCCE formulated 8 case studies where funding would have a major impact on climate change, including soil as a carbon solution, investing in the climate message, collaborating on prizes, funding behavioural change campaigns and digital decarbonizataion.
