Steve Papermaster

Chairman and CEO, Nano Vision and Powershift. Co-founder of JUCCCE

Steve Papermaster is an American entrepreneur, health and technology innovator, author and global speaker. He is Chairman and CEO of Nano, a company focused on dramatically accelerating the development of cures for global health threats, and Powershift, a platform created to grow sustainable, forward-thinking technology companies.

Papermaster was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the United States President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). Under President Bush, he also served as a member of the China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED), and is currently co-Chairperson of the Joint US-China Collaboration on Clean Energy (JUCCCE). 

Dr. David Agus

Dr. David B. Agus is a professor of medicine and engineering at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and Viterbi School of Engineering and the founding director of USC’s Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine. He is one of the world’s leading physicians and the cofounder of several pioneering personalized medicine companies.

David B. Sandalow 

Inaugural Fellow, Center on Global Energy Policy; Senior Research Scholar; Co-Director, Energy and Environment Concentration

David B. Sandalow is the Inaugural Fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy and co-Director of the Energy and Environment Concentration at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He founded and directs the Center’s U.S.-China Program and is author of the Guide to Chinese Climate Policy. During Fall 2019, he was a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University.

Dr. Jonathan Woetzel

Dr. Jonathan Woetzel has been instrumental in building McKinsey's China office. In addition to his work helping Chinese and other Asian businesses prepare for global growth, Jonathan is a director of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), McKinsey's business and economics research arm. He also leads McKinsey's Cities Special Initiative and is responsible for convening McKinsey's work with city, regional, and national authorities in more than 40 geographies around the world. He is a co-chair of the not-for-profit think tank, the Urban China Initiative—a joint venture of Tsinghua University and McKinsey—that aims to develop and implement solutions to China's urbanization challenges.

Paul Hawken 

Founder of Project Drawdown

Paul Hawken is a founder of Project Drawdown, a non-profit dedicated to researching when and how global warming can be reversed. The organization maps and models the scaling of one hundred substantive technological, social, and ecological solutions to global warming. He is an environmentalist, entrepreneur, journalist, and author. Starting at age 20, he dedicated his life to sustainability and changing the relationship between business and the environment. His practice has included starting and running ecological businesses, writing and teaching about the impact of commerce on living systems, and consulting with governments and corporations on economic development, industrial ecology, and environmental policy.

Rit Aggarwala 

Adjunct Associate Professor; Adjunct Research Scholar in the Faculty of International and Public Affairs

Rohit T. “Rit” Aggarwala is an experienced executive and thought leader in sustainability, environmental, and urban issues.  A member of the team building Sidewalk Labs, an urban innovation firm founded by Dan Doctoroff and Google, he is also the co-chair of the Regional Plan Association’s Fourth Regional Plan for the New York metropolitan area and an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

From 2010 to 2015, Rit played several roles in creating and implementing New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s philanthropic efforts promoting the environment and urban sustainability.

David Nieh 

Advisory Board Member at China Nobel Forum

David Nieh serves as General Manager of Shui On Land, a founding director at SOM’s Shanghai office, and the chief architect for the city of San Jose, California. Former head of the China business for Lend Lease, David is currently a board member of the Global Reporting Initiative and the China Chapter of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association. He is a director of the Pacific Basin Economic Council and a Shanghai Executive Committee member of the Urban Land Institute. David has been a speaker and moderator at the Boao Forum, an APEC CEO Summit member and speaker at the Great Hall of the People. He is an appointed advisor to China Development Bank Capital, China Nobel Forum, the U.S-China Clean Energy Forum, Beijing University College of Architecture and Landscape, Stanford University Architecture Program, and University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. 

Leonard Liu

Leonard Liu is a legend in computer history with 45 years of experience leading billion dollar businesses. He led IBM research to invent SQL database language, CICS, SNA, and AIX. He created the first United airlines reservations systems as VP of Systems and Software. He set the legal precedence for software as IP while reporting to the IBM Chairman & CEO. Today he runs Augmentum, whose propriety middleware bridges WeChat data with global enterprise platforms.

He is an expert in "new retail": holistic advertising, digital engagements, branding, communications and design, experiential marketing and sales. His career spans Global, APAC and Greater China.

Marco D'Amore
